Copywriter, designer, and marketing strategist

When I was a kid, I always wanted to be a novelist. In college when I was majoring in English, I still thought maybe one day, I’d be an author. And who knows, maybe one day, I will be.

But for now, I’m a marketing specialist who loves writing copy that’s easy to read — especially in complicated industries, like B2B SaaS. Big fan of the Oxford comma and I love bringing conversational tones into red-taped industries.

Early in the beginning of my career, I fell in love with graphic design too. Sometimes, I feel like designing helps me craft my words more carefully. The combination of copy and design intrigues me — I love how they work together, like two colleagues, side-by-side.

If marketing were a recipe, then a sprinkle of strategy is what keeps us grounded.

How I got here

College

  • Graduated with a degree in English and environmental studies at St. Lawrence University
  • Participated in the International English Honor Society
  • Worked as a tutor at the writing center helping my peers with essays, speeches, and design
  • Was a Communications Intern writing for campus publications
  • Won the Tanner Fellow award to stay on campus over the summer to create a descriptive bibliography for the Owen D. Young Library
  • Got a lot of writing published throughout college and afterwards, from literature and film critique to creative nonfiction to poetry

Professional experience

  • Became a Content Writer at Smart Training, where I found my love for B2B SaaS marketing communications
  • Worked as a Marketing & Communications Coordinator at Craig Ranch Fitness + Spa, where I led the social media marketing process and learned more about design — from social media to print
  • Was a freelance Marketing Coordinator for a couple years, touching every part of the marketing process including branding and verbal identity, social media strategy, design, and long-form blogs
  • Specialized in B2B SaaS and red-taped industries, including insurance, HR, healthcare, and finances

  • I am a Creative Specialist at Butler/Till with a love for telling creative brand stories with copy and design
  • Skilled at scaling creative processes, finding efficiencies, and reducing workloads
  • Recently spearheaded the verbal identity and messaging guidelines for a new B2B SaaS brand
  • Participating in the Engagement Committee and the B Corp environmental subcommittee
